FAIRPLAY - April 2009

Centre for Business Development - FAIRPLAY

With the current economic climate, it seems hard to think about people giving up their time for free and volunteering for a charity or cause, but here at Fairplay we have a fantastic team of committed, hard working volunteers, young and old, who give up their time to help children and young people of North Derbyshire less fortunate than themselves.

This year we held our annual Volunteer of the Year Disco and Buffet at the Winding Wheel, Chesterfield on Thursday 23rd April 2009. We hold this event to show our appreciation and thank all the volunteers who give up so much of their time; Fairplay could not function without their dedicated good work and support they give families throughout the year.

The event was a huge success and Fairplay named Melissa Hall (centred in picture) as the Volunteer of the Year 2009. Melissa received a beautiful bouquet and no less than 2 trophies!

Fairplay is constantly looking for Volunteers to aid them in their cause of providing fun activities for Children and Young People with additional needs and disabilities, so if you fancy maybe becoming the next Volunteer Of The Year 2010, get in touch with the new Volunteer Co-ordinator Alice Johnson.
