APPRENTICESHIPS AND ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIPS

There are two levels of Apprenticeship that your apprentice can train towards:

    • Apprenticeship (A)
    • Advanced Apprenticeship (AA)

Apprentices on an Apprenticeship work towards NVQ Level 2 and last at least 12 months, while Apprentices on Advanced Apprenticeships work towards Level 3 and last approximately 2 years.

Before any Young Person starts their training programme, they will undergo an initial assessment, ensuring the level of the Apprenticeship meets their needs and ability.

As an employer you will interview and select the Young Person in the same way you would any other potential employee of your business. Usually a Training Provider will also be available to help and/or guide you in your selection process should you wish.

Once the Young Person starts work and their training at your company they will they will receive constant support from their Training Provider/College to help them achieve their qualification.

The Training Provider/College will usually review their progress with you as their employer every twelve weeks and be on hand to assist and advise you.

It is every Training Provider's aim to build lasting and working relationships with Employers.
