E2E QUALIFICATIONS

You may have heard the term 'Entry to Employment (E2E)' - but what does it mean for Employers?

Entry to employment (E2E) is designed for 16 - 19 year olds who are not quite ready to enrol on an apprenticeship. The programmes are designed on an individual basis . They can include NVQ Level 1, Life Skills, Basic Skills, CV writing, job hunting skills and work experience in a wide variety of occupations.

As an Employer you could employ a Young Person that has completed an E2E programme on an Apprenticeship. In doing so you will be confident that they have developed the foundation skills necessary to start a real job during their E2E programme.

Alternatively, you could provide work experience placements for learners on E2E programmes. For more information - contact the Network.

An Apprentice will spend two or three years working for you, while also studying towards an NVQ. They will be covering those vital Key Skills necessary in businesses today such as teamwork and communication. The apprentice may also attend college or a training centre, as well as being trained on the job by a training provider.

The links below describe Apprenticeships in more detail - along with NVQ, Key Skills and Technical certificate qualifications that combine to make up an Apprenticeship programme.
