KEY SKILLS

Key Skills are a range of essential skills that are valued by Employers. All Apprentices will receive training in the Key Skills required by your industry.

Their tutor will incorporate the required skills into their Apprenticeship programme, via project work, portfolio evidence and a Key Skills exam.

For example, as part of their Key Skills portfolio your apprentice may complete a presentation to you as their employer, relating to a business improvement they have identified and researched.

The six Key Skills are:

• Application of Number
• Information Technology
• Working With Others
• Improving Own Learning and Performance
• Problem Solving
