Welcome to The Derbyshire Network

Directory Information

Introduction

This Directory of work related provision has been designed to assist schools through Derbyshire to access such provision through a network of quality assured training providers.

It attempts to build on, and enhance, the collaboration between schools and training providers (pre and post 16) that has been recognised by all the main key partners concerned with 14-19 strategic development throughout Derbyshire.

The Directory encourages schools to formally access a range of traditional and vocational programmes at levels most appropriate to individual needs and aspirations.

How the Directory Works (for Schools)

  • The various vocational subjects are identified as Delivery Areas in the on-line Directory.
  • When you have identified possible candidates (young people) for vocational learning, access the training providers via the Directory Search page.
  • Select the most appropriate provider for your school and contact them using the contact details.
  • Inform the Training Provider of your requirements and agree the training arrangements.
  • When you have agreed the training arrangements and the number of students accessing the programme, please complete the Network Activity Form sending the appropriate copy to both the Training Provider and the Network.
  • If you have any problems contacting Training Providers or accessing the provision you require, or you require a provision not listed in the Directory, please do not hesitate to contact the Network. (See the Contact Us page)

Costs - please note that all costs are negotiated between the School and the Training Provider. Some costs will need to be negotiated for groups as well as individuals - not all programmes will incur costs - some will be free of charge.
