Your training will take place in a local work place; that may include farms, plant nurseries, landscaping, green keeping and garden centres. You will probably attend college or a specialist training centre for one day each week.

You will study topics that are specific to your chosen speciality. These could include breeding, rearing and feeding livestock; growing and harvesting crops; plant science; machinery skills; organisation and supervision. You will also study Key Skills at the appropriate level for your programme.
