A good standard of education is important, particularly if you are going for an Advanced Apprenticeship. Training will take place during day release sessions at college and work based learning in the salon. This will include practical and theoretical aspects of hairdressing such as washing, cutting, perming and colouring hair; you will also learn about day to day running of a salon, including hygiene, reception duties and client care.
