The Strategic Development Network (SDN) has produced a comprehensive and practical toolkit to help providers implement the coming apprenticeship reforms.
The toolkit builds on work with hundreds of colleagues, from all types of providers who have engaged with the Future Apprenticeship programme. It shares transition models and effective practice from providers who have been quick to adopt the new standards. It highlights actions that leaders, managers and practitioners will need to consider, and equips them with tools to starting putting these actions into practice.
It is designed to help organisations set their apprenticeship agenda and journey for the next two years and is split in to two broad sections:
Strategy and Planning: setting strategic priorities and objectives; understanding the opportunities, customer needs and financial viability; mapping out the organisational structure and partnership arrangements required; and agreeing the plan, timescales and team to drive the transition forward.
Implementation: putting the operational building blocks in place for future apprenticeship delivery, from curriculum development, assessment and quality, to business development, marketing and compliance.
Other resources and support from the programme can also be accessed on the new Future Apprenticeships portal.
