We are very excited to announce that for our Training Provider Breakfast meetings on June 1st, we will have Jamie Holland from City and Guilds and Cheryl Knaggs from AELP as guest speakers. Both will be providing updates on their respective organisations as well as covering End-point assessment and the Future Apprenticeships programme.
Jamie is the Independent Assessment Services Manager for City & Guilds who has been specifically brought into the organisation after managing training and assessment practice for the last 15 years. He represents City & Guilds across multiple Trailblazer groups and provides support to employers where required. He has worked with sector skills councils, national awarding bodies, industry representatives and employers to shape the future of apprenticeship reforms.
Jamie is passionate about high-quality education and training and whilst completing a MBA he chose to submit his dissertation about why employer’s value and notably support apprenticeships and the economic returns they offer to their organisations.
Cheryl is a Project Manager at the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) - Based in the North East, Cheryl joined AELP as Project Manager on 14th December 2015 bringing with her 14 years’ experience of working in the education sector; seven years’ experience an awarding organisation and a further seven years’ experience working as a Manager and Head of Delivery in two Independent Training Providers. Cheryl is also a qualified Tutor, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer and holds a BA (Hons) in Educational Studies. In her role as Project Manager Cheryl works with the Delivery Team to manage specific projects and is also linking up with provider network throughout the Midlands and the North to maintain links and provide updates on AELP activity
