Steve Meadows, our Chief Executive, has announced that he will be retiring and will be leaving the Network by March next year.
Commenting on his decision Steve said, “I have decided that the time is right for me to pass on the baton of leadership. The Network is now one of the leading learning and skills provider networks in the country and has grown in a careful way over the last 5 years into a vibrant and thriving business and one that is well placed to face the challenges and opportunities that undoubtedly lie ahead.
Whoever comes in will be lucky enough to take over will lead a great team of highly experienced and dedicated staff.
I have enjoyed my time here and I when I look back to March 2011 and see how far we have progressed I am proud of what we have achieved. We have an excellent reputation for delivering good Continuous Personal Development and sector related events which have always been highly valued. The delivery consortium has grown in a careful way from a single qualification, Train to Gain, to one that delivers high quality Apprenticeships as evidenced in our Ofsted inspection last year when we were graded as Good across all aspects.”
Sarah Temperton, chair of the Board of Directors, said, “Whist we are sad that Steve is retiring we wish him every happiness in the future. He has made a massive contribution to the Network and will be handing over a business that is solid, confident and ambitious. On behalf of the board I would like to thank him for everything he has done to get us where we are today.”
