The Derbyshire Network is pleased to announce that Michelle Hill, has been appointed as the Network’s new chief executive officer with effect from the 1st November 2016.
Hill succeeds Steve Meadows following his decision to retire earlier this year. Steve joined the Network as CEO back in 2011 and hands over a business with an active membership base, direct delivery capability and a strong back office team supporting learners, providers and employers.
Michelle joins the network from The Manchester College where she was responsible for Overseeing Contract Management of sub-contracting across various funding streams and brings a wealth of experience from previous roles within the education industry.
Speaking about her appointment, Michelle said, “I am really excited at the opportunity to lead the Network through a time where the whole FE and especially the Apprenticeships offer is undergoing such a transformation in terms of the Levy, employer co-investment and the new Register. I believe we are in a strong position to guide our members, employers and learners through this time of change and I’m looking forward to meeting our subcontractors and members over the coming weeks as we move forward with our plans for the coming year. ”
Steve Meadows added, “I am delighted that the board of directors chose Michelle to succeed me; I believe that she is the right person to lead the Network to even greater heights and to show employers that Members are key to making the Apprenticeship reforms a success. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Network and I thank all Members, staff and external colleagues who have helped me along the way. I wish everyone involved with The Derbyshire Network all the best for future.”
