You should be aware by now that the data protection regulation is set to change next month on the 25th May as part of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws, which could affect how your organisation collect, use and store people’s personal data.
Your learners, employees and other individuals need to be able to trust you to look after and use their personal data responsibly and safely. Knowing they can trust you with their data is good for your organisation or business and you may risk a fine if you don’t comply.
The Information Commissioner’s Office has produced a short self-assessment test that you can take to see how prepared you are, along with a guide in the form of eight practical steps for business owners getting ready for the new UK data protection law.
